The 23-year-old Colombian player, known as “Daveeys,” died on Sunday, September 3, 2023, a day after his birthday. The cause of death has not been officially confirmed, but KRÜ Esports, his team, said he suffered “descompensación,” which roughly translates to organ failure.
Daveeys was a rising star in the Valorant scene. He joined KRÜ Esports in October 2022 and quickly became a key player on the team. He was known for his hard work and dedication, as well as his friendly and outgoing personality.
“Daveeys was a spectacular player and a first-class teammate,” KRÜ Esports said in a statement. “He was proud to be able to inspire and represent his country and region at the top of the global VALORANT. It was his dream, and he saw it come true.”
