The Chainsmokers recreate Justin and Hailey Bieber’s photoshoot for album art, but they’re not happy with the results

The Chainsmokers recreated Justin and Hailey Bieber’s sultry Calvin Klein photoshoot for the cover art of their upcoming fifth studio album, “Summertime Friends.” However, the electronic duo was not happy with the results and fired their creative director.

“‘Summertime Friends’ comes out this week and this was supposed to be the cover art but it came out ridiculous,” the Chainsmokers wrote on social media. “We are so upset. Firing creative director immediately. Never trusting our team again.”

The original photoshoot featured Justin and Hailey Bieber posing in their underwear, with Justin Bieber’s hand on Hailey Bieber’s bare stomach. The Chainsmokers’ recreation of the photoshoot was similar, but the duo was wearing Calvin Klein briefs instead of underwear.

The Chainsmokers are not the first musicians to recreate a famous photoshoot for album art. In 2015, Beyoncé recreated the iconic Rolling Stone cover with her daughter, Blue Ivy. And in 2017, Rihanna recreated the famous Jean-Paul Goude photoshoot for her album, Anti.
