HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman in Harris County is in custody and facing charges following an injury to a child incident on Sunday evening.
Law enforcement responded to the incident at around 7:30 p.m. in the 23000 block of Cranberry Trail. Upon arrival, they identified the suspect as Nonya Smith.
After a thorough investigation, authorities discovered video evidence showing Smith choking and slapping an 11-year-old minor, resulting in pain and injury.
Smith has been arrested and is now facing charges of injury to a child. Bond details have not been disclosed at this time.
